About

Jody Klotz Fine Art has international roots at the heart of this distinctive Texas gallery. In 1980, Jody Klotz began her career as an independent young art dealer living in Paris for four years followed by 15 years in New York City, specializing in 19th and 20th Century European and American art. Over 45 years, she has cultivated an internationally based art business. Jody hand selects and acquires her extensive inventory of Impressionist through Contemporary paintings.
In 1997, Jody relocated her gallery to Abilene, Texas while continuing to be active in the international art market. The gallery exhibits in prestigious art fairs including Art Miami and Art Palm Springs. Klotz’s expertise is extensive, having sold works by Monet, Van Gogh, Matisse and Signac as well as Frankenthaler, Calder, Kusama and Murakami. With a recent focus on Post War Abstract Expressionist and Color Field painting and an emphasis on women artists, Jody Klotz Fine Art has received attention for groundbreaking exhibitions on Lynne Mapp Drexler and Alice Baber, as well as a group exhibition including artists such as Elaine de Kooning, Grace Hartigan, Emily Mason, Vivian Springford and others. Most recently, Jody traveled her exhibition Alice Baber | Colors of the Rainbow to New York City in the fall of 2024.
The gallery aspires to surprise with our exhibitions and continue to be a valued resource to collectors and institutions.
